This is the nicest rest area that I have been to in Texas. I've been on countless rest areas on 1-10, I-20, and I-40. Seriously even at 7:16p on a Thursday the floors were clean, the toilets were clean, the mirrors were clean and there was a full thing of soap! Today alone I have stopped at multiple rest stops ( a 14 hr drive) and it's super nice. Also, a really nice dog area with BEAUTIFUL grass. It's the first time my dog actually pooed in the entire drive which I am so grateful for. Poor dude has been backed up. And yes, we have poo bags in the car to pick it up. We aren't rude owners. I wish there were more of these throughout Texas, even w/o the grass or beautiful landscaping. The only thing I was looking forward to was info about the rest area as the sign said it was a historical rest area. Maybe I just didn't look hard enough. Either way this was chefs kiss beautiful and a nice change to subpar rest stops and gas stations. Thank you to those who keep it nice.

I had a good night's rest since it's so quiet here despite the wind rattling the aerodynamic fins on the back of my truck. I like taking TX114 to Lubbock since it's a straight shot from Roanoke with little traffic. This is also the cleanest rest stop I've seen in my life.

Drove over 75 miles to fix a semi truck on the spot.. Beautiful rest area but has no vending just restrooms.. location & restrooms are very clean in & out!! The next town over Benjamin has a nice gas station less then 10 miles away from rest area for all your drink and snack needs!!
