I have had a city warrant for 16 years.. I called to make arrangements to plead guilty and just pay the fine because I live 28 hours away and they said no. Said I will have to show up in person

The prosecutor didn’t even bother to show up on time. If you’re going to send out letters expecting individuals to show up at a set time, then your prosecutors should be expected to adhere to the same schedule. Showing up 10 minutes fashionably late isn’t acceptable. Not to mention, this prosecutor had an extremely bad attitude. If you don’t like your job, then resign; that seems to be an easy enough concept. The bailiff shouldn’t have to hunt down the prosecutor to show up. This isn’t the first time this prosecutor has been late, either.

If I could leave negative stars, then I would. It is outrageous that the city of Springfield is holding court proceedings, and having people wait outside, in freezing cold weather, to be heard for their alleged offenses. If the city is not able to, or unwilling to accommodate all people in the municipal building, where it is actually warm, then the city should postpone hearings. Obviously, there is a concern about having people bunched together in one place due to COVID, but what about having people wait in the freezing cold to potentially get pneumonia, a cold, frost bite, etc. If the city can not provide for reasonable accommodations, then they should reconsider issuing citizens citations. I cannot even comprehend the sheer level of incompetency it took for someone to decide that they were going to have people waiting outside to be heard, and in the middle of winter. There were elderly people, and disabled people in wheelchairs out in the cold; this is disgraceful. Springfield needs to fix this ASAP. People should not be waiting in the cold. Do not expect people to wait, otherwise. Talk about piss poor planning. Unbelievable! It was 25 degrees out at the time I posted this review. Thanks

Incapable of sending out summons for court dates, but very good at filing failure to appear charges. Furthermore, will not even consider answering phone calls to schedule a new court date. Good luck, everyone.

Simple. Send in your proof of getting your dogs properly tagged and or registered. Whatever the tickets were for. They should dismiss it once they see that you took care of the issue properly. I had something similar not long ago. I had to send in my paperwork and they recalled my warrant. ps - it's TOTALLY UNNECESSARY to hire an attorney. Lol
