When teeth are not properly or timely restored to optimum health, they can fracture or decay so extensively that Root Canal Therapy is necessary in order to save the natural tooth. The diseased tooth root dies due to disease or decay – and infection can occur. This affected root material must be removed to stop further damage. With standard anesthetic, there is virtually no pain or discomfort at all.
