Very friendly staff and nice 25yd pistol and 200yd rifle range. Shooters advised to bring their own high visibility targets.

Was looking for a place to shoot, but after reading the “range rules” where NFA items are not allowed I decided against it. Sawed off rifles? Really? I can only assume that my registered SBR wouldn’t be permitted, or any of my suppressors too I see. I am going to assume that the facility does not have an ATF agent on stand by to request and inspect form 4 and form 1’s for NFA items. That’s what I thought. It’s 2018, almost 2019 and the firearm industry as a whole needs to realize that firearms evolve. To the Fudds who run this range, the industry left you and your daddy’s double barrel shotguns long ago.

Neat clean and orderly. The staff are polite and very helpful. Well organized. I do think a sign out on the highway would be very helpful to help folks find the place.

This is an exceptional public gun range; a real gem. It is open only when range-masters are present and they have absolute control over range use. These men are polite, friendly, and very helpful. My wife and one daughter have been here as well and were treated with respect and welcomed by patrons and range-masters alike. Separate berms for handgun and rifle. Rifle range maximum distance is 200 yards. Both pistol and rifle shooting stations are covered. Port-a-jon is available. Check website for hours of operation. In response to reviewer comments below who called the range-masters insulting names and who wanted to play tactical games: The safety controls enacted by the range-masters are the reason why this is a well-run and safely operated rifle range.

Closed until approximately March 2021. Renovations will include new rifle and pistol ranges at 200 and 25 yards, new shooting pavilions and a range classroom with bathrooms. More information about this can be found at the Mike Commander range website.
Yes. Current GA fishing license will allow access to the shooting range.
There is not a limit to the firearms you can bring! Just make sure to transport them all safely to the firing line. I look forward to you coming out!
Yes, it’s open and better than ever!
Look up Mike Commander WMA Shooting Range on Google and call the staff at range. They are very well informed and can help you with question. Also their website has the rules for range and might address your question.
I do not know about their pay. They mow they grass and conduct routine maintenance, mainly on Monday when range is closed. These individuals are very polite and pleasant, while maintaining strict control over operations at the range. Excellent facility and staff.
