Susan represented me in my recent divorce and I can only recommend her. Not only is she very knowledgeable about the laws, she also understands that every client is different. She fought for my rights and was able to secure a favorable outcome for me. Every time we spoke on the phone, she was very professional and attentive. She swiftly replied to any emails I sent her and always had an answer for questions I had. The total timeline from me filing for divorce to getting divorced was 4 months. She definitely likes to get things done. The one thing she did that truly cut me off guard (in a good way) was when she told me she’d write off the remaining balance after I requested a payment plan. She knew I was struggling financially so she gave me a break. She didn’t have to do that. I was fully prepared to enter a monthly payment plan, so when she told me she’d write it off, I almost cried. Thank you, Susan, for everything you did for me.

Would not recommend to anyone. Used this office for divorce. Signed retainer with them on 8-7-20, was done with divorce end of June this year(2022). Agreed to everything my ex was asking. All they had to do was review and fill out paperwork. Issues with billing, one of my payments didn't post till later after I requested review. Day before first prove up, got text from my ex, saying her lawyer missing documents from mine. Sent email to my lawyer and got assurances that everything is fine(was charged for her time). Morning of, 15 minutes before court, got 2 documents requiring my signature(why I couldn't sign them yesterday?) First prove up was postponed because required documents not submitted on time. Sam law saying it's not their fault, my ex is saying not her lawyers fault. Go figure, I'm sure it's in court minutes.

What is the difference between a contested and uncontested divorce?

A contested divorce is one in which the couple cannot agree about the terms of the divorce, such as the division of assets, allocation of debts, alimony, child support, or child custody. In an uncontested divorce, the spouses agree with situations and may not need the court’s help dividing assets or making determinations about spousal or child support.
