I have been dealing with a leaking roof for 8 months now and they have done nothing to fix it and do not return my calls

The professionalism of the management team a Chili Commons is below subpar. They would rather play pass the buck than do any real work themselves. You need to follow up multiple times to have anything done.. If you do no reach out to upper management expect everything to be done sub standard or not at all. Stay away at all cost.

A nightmare. The Howitt family own this place. Dr. Howitt is a dentist associated, with Eastman Dental. His wife runs Midland Management. These people are crooks period. The properties would be nice, if someone else owned them! You move in, and nothing has been cleaned. Holes in walls etc.

I live in an apartment at The Viking Apartments, owned by Midland Management LLC. I want to start off by saying that I have lived in apartments my whole life, and grew up in Brockport. I have never lived in an apartment complex that has had such lack of human decency before in my life. When we started the search for an apartment, I needed one that would work with my budget and leave me a little room to save for a house one day. I am a college student but I also work full-time, I’m 26 years old so I do not fall into the college student mentality and I take care of the property that I live in. We went to the Viking Apartments and we’re shown an apartment that was being newly renovated. We were told the apartment that we got may not be that one but would mimic the floor layout and the contents. We were told we would have hardwood floors up until the dining room and that we would have a new vanity and new sink in the bathroom, and new cabinets in the kitchen. Excited about the opportunity to live in a newly refurbished apartment for the price that match our budget, we agreed and filled out all the necessary papers to move in. That being said we put in the works, us moving out of our current living situation. By the time it was time for us to move in, and we had nowhere else to go because we had signed papers to move out of our other place, they showed me the apartment that we would be moving into. There was nothing refurbished in the apartment. Not only was there nothing new in the apartment but what was left was dirty and not what we asked for. I had asked for a non-smoking building because I have asthma, preferably not on the ground floor and what I got was a ground floor apartment that looked out on to 50 cigarette butts from the apartment above me. The apartment had dirty rugs, I had to make them come back in and clean them. They smelled so bad yet they had insisted that the cleaner had already been in. Should we have moved in? No. But at the time like I said we had nowhere else to go, and the office was insisting that they had no other apartments in the works ready to be moved in. Since we moved in our garbage disposal has been broken two times, our dishwasher has been working soo poorly that we need to double sometimes triple the soap we use, the paint on our walls drips yellow, no matter how many times I have scrubbed it, our shower filled up to our ankles for 7 months after being in there for 2 minutes and for 7 months of us living here we couldn’t even use the dining room fan because it was hanging an inch away from our ceiling. Not only was I told that was normal during the walk through and was never written down, but I had asked repeatedly the maintenance staff and the office for it to be fixed. When I had finally freaked out and made a scene not only was I told that I had never complained about any of these things, because they were not written down by the main office but I was also told that I was not supposed to go to maintenance for any of my complaints I was only supposed to go through the main office. Not only have we had all of these problems but around the end of summer we also had a flood in our bedroom. It ruined the entertainment stand that we had in there, but because we didn’t have renters insurance they wouldn’t replace it. And to fix what had flooded all they did was shop vac it up and give us a fan. Our whole room smelled like mildew, and they wouldn’t even replace the carpet or the pad underneath of it after the dirty water leaked into our room. Four months after we moved in one of my friends moved in as well. For a two bedroom completely refurbished apartment she only pays about $60 more than what I pay to live in a one bedroom that is falling apart. And when I asked to be moved, I was told I need first and last month rent, another security deposit and to pay for 2 application fees again. This has been the worst living experience of my life.

Hi Robert, We just broke ground on some beautiful apartments directly adjacent to Wegmans in Chili. We have some amazing one level units loaded with luxury features coming in 2021!

Hi, are you the company that built the beautiful townhouses in Chili? I love the layout but would prefer to be in Webster/Penfield, etc. area. Do you have other areas with your townhouses like those in Chili?

Hi Debbie, We're so glad you appreciated our new townhomes. We only have that style in Chili currently but stay tuned!
