The boat we rented was underpowered. I'm sure that's to keep newbies from trashing their boats. The staff are friendly and help familiarize you with the lake. Good folks.

Had granddaughters bd here. The atmosphere seemed geared toward all ages. The little boutique has something for everyone. Salads aren't that great too much lettuce... Not much varieties in salads. All in all good experience.

We rented a pontoon boat from Lake Granbury Marina. The boat was top notch. It had the right equipment - Bimini top, Bluetooth music, dock side floats, and decent sized engine to cover off most of the lake in well under 4 hours. Their team was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. Give them a shot the next time you are in town!

I can't believe I never knew this was here! I'd been camping in Glen Rose nearby as a young adult, but I'd never heard of Fossil Rim until we visited with my Uncle. I'd never been to a drive through Safari park before, and this was such a great experience. Buy the bags of animal food before you go in (I'm pretty sure that you can only buy the animal food at the entrance). There is a gift shop and Cafe at the halfway point you can stop at. Our favorite part was feeding the giraffes! They like to stick their heads right in the car! We didn't do the other activities at Fossil Rim because a storm moved in, but we had a great visit nonetheless.
