The person I spoke to was rude and unbecoming of a pastor or minister absolutely horrible I understand if someone is having a bad day but to be rude to someone you just met is appalling 0/10 wouldn’t recommend

My home. A psalm 1 Jesus way church! Jesus loves you! 🙏

My husband and I moved to the area 18 months ago from Southern California and were members of a large Baptist church there for 34 years. We came to FBCA after visiting another church closer to our home for several weeks which didn’t feel like home. My husband served as lead trumpet player and served at our former church’s orchestra. We were looking for a church with an orchestra. We decided to attend FBCA on the first day of snow for us former Californians in January, 2021. We parked in the visitor lot and were welcomed by the parking lot attendant who handed us off to a greeter inside the church who then took us to where we wanted to sit. I wanted to sit close to the pulpit so I can hear better as I am quite hearing impaired. Once seated, we both enjoyed listening to the contemporary worship leader, Charlie Pannell lead us in worship along with Aaron Tomes, Minister of Classic Worship leading the choir. The music was a mix of hymns and contemporary worship music at that time during the pandemic when there was only one service. This was during the time that the church was meeting in person last January, 2021. We have 2 services now. The church carefully welcomed us wholeheartedly during that time of public mask wearing and were cautious in doing so. Once we heard Dr. Denise Wiles preach, we both decided after listening to that one sermon that this was “home”. He is a thorough Bible teaching pastor who can be found before church service greeting those coming into the sanctuary. He and the staff are truly a welcoming staff. Through the 16 months that we have been members here, we can see that the staff has a heart for worship, teaching, reaching others in the mission fields outside in our community and outside of our country proclaiming God’s word to all ages from the little ones to those who have journeyed with Jesus throughout their whole lives. It is truly an intergenerational church and we are blessed to be part of it at the classic 8:30 am service time. Sunday School for adults is also a blessing as well. The teachers are lay people who have a gift of teaching the word. This church is 150 years old and still growing strong. I am glad to be part of its diversity and history.

This church plays the loudest singing/songs during the morning hours, it’s bad enough that these people hog all the parking in the area and now they can’t even let students sleep?!

The child must choose the path and it is a lengthy process but absolutely necessary if we are to have Fruitful believers who follow the Jesus Way..The Children are central to what FBCA is about. With the New Childrens building your child and you will be part of far more than just a Church.. You will be part of a loving family.
Contemporary service (guitars, drums, keyboard, singers)starts at 9:30 am, traditional service(organ, choir) starts at 11 am.
You do not have to sign up for parking on Sunday mornings. The Wade building parking lot, the UTA parking garage, and the family/children’s building lot are all free on Sunday mornings. Hope this helps!
Unsure. Mission Arlington is next door and can help with food and clothing for you and your family.
I am not sure. Call the church to get that info.
Also try the Salvation Army on UTA BLVD, near Cooper St. They maybe able lead you in the right direction. Also call City of Arlington Housing Department. I believe they're on Sanford.
Can't answer this question because I don't attend First Baptist.
The services are streamed over the internet and also taped and archived so you can access them a day or two after they are streamed.
930 for the contemporary service or 11 for the classic service
