We were sad that my mom had to be transferred to hospice. No one wants to hear this. The first few days there everything was good as far as staff and concern for my mom and family. The doctor at facility came in the next day saying that her body was already starting to show signs of shutting down and needed to prepare for her not to be here by Monday, was over the weekend when mom started talking a little bit, still some confusion and us trying to feed her some liquid formed food got a little burst of life back. We were excited. On Monday they were going to reevaluate her and talked about maybe moving her to a nursing facility but under hospice care still. That she would get the same care they’re providing. This is not the case. Restrictions will be limited on visiting as well as her not being able to eat or drink or move from her bed on her own. Stating that her insurance(Medicare) is saying she has to leave. They want to charge us $500 a day to stay there! I thought when we moved her here, which was recommended by Hendricks Hospital that this would be a wonderful, caring place. What it’s sounding like or turning out to be is concern over money! I would not recommend moving quickly to here, do your investigating first when they even mention a hospice care facility!

Hendrick Hospice staff were very kind and caring. Even during this COVID pandemic, they facilitated family visits to our loved one. Thank you!

This facility and the nurses were absolutely amazing during the time my mom was there. They were caring, answered every question we asked and made us feel at home during this difficult time. Everyone treated our mom like they were family, I will always remember the comfort and peace we had during this difficult time.

This Hospice Company is horrible. We have a resident that has been suffering for days. They refuse to give her anything for pain. I would not hire them to take care of my dog if he was dying!

Lybratie Choate, camp courage is located inside the Hospice building on the Bereavement side.. You can just come in and stop at one of the reception desk and speak to someone and you can go from there!
