I went a few months back in March for my friends birthday dinner the service started out great then randomly the glass of water on the table exploded with glass flying everywhere and ruined my sisters entire dinner and clothes totally embarrassing! When we asked our waitress for a manager to be somehow accommodated she being telling us the manager was not available because he or she was on vacation then finally we spoke to the owner and he told us that he tells his employees to never tell the guest he is there because they should be able to handle situations like this on their own. My sisters food was never replaced. I told the owner how embarrassed my sister was after all the water went all over her closed and god forbid if a piece of glass would've flew into her eye and his response was "well we are not gonna talk about what could have happened" and he will just put it on the house because he doesn't have time for bad reviews.

I was surprised to learn that several good restaurants in downtown Syracuse area are closed on Sunday nights. Since the Hotel I was saying that did not have a dinner option. I was very happy to find the York was open. Very nice to core extremely upscale considering the rest of Syracuse! Highly recommend. Good service good food but if you get a wedge salad you might want to consider asking them to put the dressing on the side. It was a pretty heavy Addition
