I went to be seen for an upper respiratory infection. I get one every year about this time. I have a history of long haulers COVID and pneumonia. Every doctor in the past gives me a Zpack so it doesn't go into pneumonia. This doctor told me to use a neti pot and possibly see a chiropractor because the computer says I was sick enough for antibiotics. A week later I have 103.6 temp and it's deep iny lungs a neti pot to

Nurse practitioner was short rude And did not listen to patient needs or concerns now making an appointment through a regular doctor's office to get adequate care

I'm not really happy with the service is provided to my husband , which is the reason he's paying to receive what he needs ; anyhow is why I keep my insurance separate and is what he needs to change . Again , even an email service request can't be answered . Definitely is why they will continue loosing clients

I went to SPIRA Care in Liberty today with a sore throat, congestion and ear pressure. I was met with a wonderful front office lady, fabulous nurse that took vitals then the nurse practitioner, April Clapham, came in and asked me the exact same questions. She then asked if I wanted a COVID test. I told her I was positive it is not COVID as my daughter has the same symptoms than me. She did look at my throat and ears stating my sinuses were inflamed, throat red, glands swollen and ears did not look infected. She then proceeds to tell me that they do not treat viruses. Then why did she want to do a COVID test? Virus, right?? She mentioned a flu test after that? Virus, right? Why?? She said that medicine makes the symptoms worse. Please tell me why she is in this business?? She is worthless in my opinion. I pay a premium for the insurance that covers this place. My employer pays way more for the coverage than I do. Then I have a deductible on top of that. For what? For her to say medicine doesn’t work?? They charged me to tell me she doesn’t prescribe medicine and it will make it worse. Thank goodness my insurance changes June 1st. If given the choice I would not choose this company for healthcare. I can do a better job at home than seeing this inept NP.

What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
Hi Jeff, We currently do not have a Spira Care center in Emporia.
An ultrasound is not part of primary care services within Spira Care, but please reach out to a Spira Care Guide at 913-29-SPIRA (77472). They can assist you in finding an OB provider in-network.
