I live an HR drive away and they never have once answered the phone so I always have to waste gas to drive to them I don't think they know how to pick up the phone or they just don't care.

You can do both, but there is hardly anyone there most of the time.

Do I need to make an appointment to sign up for Social Security or can I walk up to the window? I want to start receiving checks in July so I think I need to sign up this month, is that correct?
