I cannot recommend this location. Although I have good vets here in the past, Dr. St. Clair did not provide loving compassionate care that I would expect to get for a 14-year-old pug. He has a Body Condition Score of 6, which is acceptable for a pug of his age. He has been having issues with his back legs and whimpers every morning and has issues with stairs. Very normal for a dog his age. I asked for a scrip for Rimadyl but she refused to write one. Said he needed to lose weight and go to neurologist. Can you imagine saying this to a person? Nope, you're overweight. No pain meds for you. Unacceptable. He had recent bloodwork at CASE in Boulder but when I volunteered to get that info over to her she still refused to write him a scrip. Absolutely unacceptable.

The staff were very friendly but pricing was a secret until after everything was done. We had a coupon for a free first time visit. We came in for what looked like dandruff on our puppy. Our free visit turned into $300! We even asked at one point how much the allergy shot would be and didn't get an answer until after it was done and it was too late. It seemed like the goal was to get as much money as they can. They should tell you up front before they do anything how much it will be.

Overall experience are quite positive. Service is good and the staffs are responsive. The only thing is if you do not signed up a wellness plan for your dog, you will need to pay a visit or doctor fee (forgot the name) per visit even for vaccine appointments, which at many other vet clinic can be managed by vet technician. In general, the wellness plan is good in terms of value for many. It covers vaccines, etc.

We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
