This gas station with its store serve an amazingly important purpose for the surrounding communities and does so very well. Just about anything you might need on a highway travel stop as well as luxuries like their impressive collection of wines and liquor can be easily found in the store. Because there are so few markets or food stores within many, many miles the store fills that need for locals as well as travelers. The gas pumps out front are well-designed and make it possible for an easy drive through for everything from a small sports car to a huge truck pulling a massive travel trailer. Around the west wall of the building, in an ample gravel parking lot, there's a tire-filling air pump that takes cash or credit cards and works flawlessly. It's the store's employees, though, that far outshine any of these excellent attributes and make a stop here pleasant and reaffirming....yes, there are still great places and wonderful people like this along the long, lonesome highway.
