I’m writing this because I want to warn others of the unprofessionalism and retaliatory actions I experienced at Livingston Foot Care that should not be tolerated by patients who put their trust in their medical providers. The last two years I have been treated by a Dr. Lee for a foot problem. Every two months I have been going for a follow-up visit, but the problem has not subsided. The medication prescribed has been expensive, and there has been little change in my condition. On my last visit in June, I mentioned this to Dr. Lee, and he told me that there was an oral medication I could take that was more effective, but it could possibly affect the liver so I needed to go to my primary doctor for baseline blood tests of the liver and clearance. As directed, I made an appointment with my primary doctor who drew blood, sent me for a follow-up sonogram, and told me that he wanted to see me monthly for follow-up visits and cleared me to take the oral medication—all of which, by the way, required time, co-pays and balances. When the tests were in, I called the office, spoke to a receptionist who said Dr. Lee would get back to me. It took five calls demanding that I speak to the doctor before I was transferred to Dr. Douglas Livingston who—after I explained the situation—prescribed the medication and told me that he would, “speak with Dr. Lee about this situation…”. When I returned for my follow-up visit with Dr. Lee, I waited 40 minutes in my car and another 30 minutes in the office waiting area. I have been there many times and NEVER had I waited so long. I overheard someone else say they have an appointment with Dr. Lee and she is called within minutes to her appointment. At that point, I realized what was happening, inquired and was told maybe I should see another Associate.
