Enjoyed it more than I expected. A little spooky. Very interesting.

Highly recommend this gem. Get the guided tour. Learn about Arizona and Yuma history from over 100 years ago. Plan to spend about 2 hours here with the tour.

This is an interesting piece of history. The museum and display are interesting, and the guided tour adds a lot to the experience.

This is an excellent museum. Nice displays and information with out being overboard. Forty five minutes to an hour is sufficient time to view and do some reading. The cell block area is very interesting. Gift shop available. Highly recommend

Yes. It Was On A Show Called Ghost Adventure Episode Called "Hell Hole Prison".
Eight were shot trying to escape, 6 committed suicide, there were 5 work accidents, two homicides by another prisoner and 1 was executed by Yuma County.
Sign on the door says no regarding the prison grounds but as other people have said there's a park and hiking/walking trails outside admissions and they are allowed there.
You get always put your pet in a back you will be there that long anyway
The prices for entry are more than the website says. Once you pay. Youll be greeted outback by a gentleman with a map of the complex. Self guided tour. I took my children a few weeks ago. Its definitely changed since I was a kid myself. But take your time and enjoy the history.
Only for the ghosts. Guided by the other ghosts.
I suggest calling the facility and getting information from them.
I do not think so
They say if you wear the color Red in the Dark Cell, you can get pinched. If you ask some of the guides, they can tell you experiences that they may have had. Ours even got pushed!
I am not the Yuma Territorial Prison. You need to check their website for hours.
Laura, I am with Carla Ivey. This is an historical prison. It is a tourism attraction.

It's not a federal facility, so i doubt the shutdown is effecting it.
Depends on age. See link below for the cost per age range. http://www.yumaprison.org/hours-fees-parking.html
No prisoners, the location acted as a prison until 1909, and was closed due to overpopulation. Then it was a high school and I think a shelter at some point. Still worth checking out if you have some extra time and cash to play with.
Dude, just go. You make it sound like i gotta write an essay for you.
Seniors get a break, 15.00 well worth it.Take alot of pics there is definitely something there. Some pics never came out all black.Spirits? Yes that right it was 6.00
Yes
Never told bout a mummified body. There's no info at museum.
They're usually less the an hour. Self guided tours are nice, not rushed and people are available to ask questions. The museum is very informative.
The solitary confinement cell is especially forboding. There is a strong awareness walking into it that your not the only one inside.
