2nd Update - the rental was in May, and now it's August. Still no response from Avis re the refund, and the bank had already closed the claim. The e-receipt has not been updated; still contains the error which caused the issue, and still out the cash. Back on the phone with the bank for fraud support, as the AVIS hot line's specialty seems to be hanging up after putting one on hold for half an hour... Shall we imagine Sisyphus happy? Updated - Michele from the rental office was able to quickly determine the issue was a computer glitch, fixed it and followed up a few days later to confirm everything was resolved. Thank you!! GET YOUR RECEIPT from this place, it's a madhouse and difficult to get anyone from AVIS on the phone. Returned a car 3 weeks ago, and still getting new charges every other day. Multiple follow up surveys, but never emailed the final invoice...
