Watch the gators. They aren't scared of you at all because all the crabbing has taught them a human standing by the waters edge has chicken and will steal your bait. This is right after sundown. He's about 6' and less than 1' off the bank. He had a crabbing string hanging out his mouth and a very fat belly. He came right up to us.

My first time crabbing. Within 11/2 hrs we had our limit. I assume we caught the tide at the right time. There will be another trip. What a great birthday gift. One happy dad
