Used to go here all the time. Last week both oil guys told me my brakes were metal on metal and they could replace them so I took it to my mechanic and he said both brakes were only 20% worn, showed me pictures and everything. I have no idea if this was incompetence or intentional misleading to make money I lost a lot of trust for the guys there, which had always treated me right. Follow up: Vince the owner called me personally and apologized and said he would make sure that doesn't happen again. He seemed very genuine in his conversation and he completely understood how when someone working under your car tells you the car you drive your kids around is "metal on metal" for brakes, it's concerning. We also had to take the car to the shop after the "metal on metal" comment so it costs us $65 and lost the car for the day just to let us know our brakes had 30,000 miles left on them. He apologized again, I could tell he didn't approve of what happened. Thanks Vince, stand up guy.
