Quiet spot on the river, nice picnic stop when passing through the city.

This was a great place to stop and stretch our legs on the way to Michigan. We downloaded an audio tour and loved learning all about the area. We felt safe for the duration of our visit. The restrooms were clean, which is a huge bonus!

It's only my third visit to that park. It was a beautiful afternoon.

Nice dog park with a separate area for small dogs and some basic agility equipment. Pros: Good location. Some nice shaded areas, trees, and benches. Everyone is friendly. Room for improvement: There are no doggy water fountains inside the fenced area. (A lot of people bring water and are willing to share - see friendly people - and I bring my own now too but I forgot the first few times because I just moved here and I'm used to a park with accessible water for the dogs.) There are no pet waste stations in the park, you have to leave the fenced in area or reach over the fence to get a bag and throw away. I try to bring my own bags but nobody's perfect, we all forget sometimes or don't realize we're down to the last bag. My dog has separation anxiety and gets upset if I leave the park without her. Waste disposal inside the park is a pretty standard feature of most dog parks. There are some holes and muddy areas, especially after a recent rain. Also, and this may be a pro or a con depending on your perspective, there is no "lake" for dogs that like to swim.
