Positive: I liked the location. It met my needs and was close for other things in the area such as dining and minor shopping. Negative: The bathroom decor made me think it was either for children or handicap with the very low sink and toilet, yet there were no safety bars in the shower nor any anti slip padding in the tub.

OMG, where do I start. Went for a family reunion and I can't believe a family member would even suggest this place. Rooms are nasty. Not enough linens or wash clothes and towels for guest. They had to wash the linens from the pick before we could get clean linens. The pool is not cleaned every night. The only two good thing is the employee's are very nice and try to accommodate your needs when address.and there breakfast is decent. I will not be staying there again. Photos I would not even put up here. OMG

I wish I could rate our stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Lexington Park - Patuxent a better review. If I were just rating the staff here, I would give 4 to 5 stars. There seemed to be plenty of staff on-hand during the entire weekend. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was well-stocked, clean, and attended by a diligent staff member. The other positive thing to review is that this is a pet-friendly hotel. We have dogs and are grateful that hotels are beginning to allow pets. The dog walk area was clean, spacious, and more than adequate. It was easy to come and go from the building from the back and side doors that are secured with a hotel room key. There was no smell in the room or hallway from previous furry guests. Outside of these two things, I must give our overall stay 2 stars. We had two rooms booked for my family. We had originally booked two adjacent rooms that were connected; however, something happened between the time that we booked our stay and arrived because that arrangement was not available. We had to take two different, non-connected rooms on a different floor. Ok...we adjusted... Neither of the rooms were clean. It looked like someone just cleaned the basics and missed the rest. There was a lot of "debris" around the edge of the carpet. There was food and socks behind the TV console. There was something like blood or chocolate dried on the one side of the mattress. There was no shampoo. The one room had a pile of empty food containers and trash in the closet. There was coffee and a coffee machine...but no creamer/sugar/etc... There was a dirty towel left on the shelf above the mini fridge. We stayed for two weekend nights. Friday, our first night, there was a raging teenage party going on in the room across from one of our rooms (and up and down the hallway). I am not exaggerating when I say this uncontrolled situation went on ALL NIGHT. It was concerning enough that I instructed our family in the other room to not open their door for anyone since there were people knocking on our doors. The smell of marijuana was overpowering. The noise made it impossible to sleep. No one associated with the hotel did anything to control the situation. The hallway was completely trashed the next morning. The next night was peaceful and uneventful. We had paid a $250 pet deposit that was charged to our card when we checked out. I can honestly say that we left our rooms cleaner than they were when we arrived. It took two phone calls on two different days to get the $250 deposit refunded. I don't like leaving negative reviews unless it is warranted. In this case, I am afraid it was. We didn't pay a huge amount for our rooms, and I guess we could mark the issues we experienced up to "you get what you pay for...". However, we have stayed in a lot of hotels in the same class and price range and have never had a terrible experience as we did this time. I sent to emails to the hotel email address and have not received any kind of response. We have family that we visit in the Lexington Park area, and I am afraid that we will not ever return to this hotel. I hope someone associated with La Quinta reads this and takes it seriously to heart.

This hotel was really nice when it was built in the 1990's. It is definitely showing it age, but the rooms are nice and have really nice mattresses. It might be a little dated but the staff makes up for it with great attitudes and smiles. My wife is disabled with horrible back problems. She is very picky about mattresses and approves of these. Nice place to stay for a decent price.
