Absolutely love everything about this place. The owners, the staff and the horses are all so friendly and provide an environment geared towards teaching responsibility and respect. Our 3 year old began “tot lessons” with JoJo and Hensley; they teach him to grab his tools, brush/groom the horse, and put everything back where it belongs. Today he rode without a lead and learned how to turn the horse on his own- it was such a “proud parent” moment! Highly recommend ATHaight!

I take my two year old here for riding lessons and she loves the time on the ranch! She’s bonded well with her horse and she loves going to the goat enclosure after her lessons. Tabitha and Jo are great with my daughter and have always been wonderful to work with. I am able to bring my nephew when he’s in town and he went from being someone very skiddish around animals to now telling me he wants to be a cowboy when he grows up.

Amazing experience for my 9 year old! I absolutely love that this is a rescue ranch and small family owned, the horses are so well loved and cared for. The owner was helpful, kind and extremely knowledgeable. My daughters lesson was wonderful, informative and so much fun. We will definitely be going back as many times as we can.

It was really fun. Been along time since I rode a horse. Very friendly atmosphere, staff may be young but they are very professional and attentive. Would definitely go again.

Questions & Answers

Do you use 12 year old volunteers? My granddaughter is a horse lover and i think she would love doing this. We live in Copperas Cove, out by Ft Hood.

My 12 yr old has been many times. Trail rides and camps. Not sure on volunteer ages, but they are on Facebook. Great place, not at all expensive. Tabitha will answer messages ( pm) on Facebook.
