The Factory Student Housing

I am writing this as a parent of a daughter who lived in the Factory last year. Overall my daughter’s experience living in the Factory was fine. The reason for the 1 star review is the complete lack of integrity from the owners/management company. When my daughter moved out, she received a statement saying she would be getting the majority of her security deposit back. That made sense and we then waited and waited and did not receive any money back. We repeatedly called the Factory and asked about the status of her refund only to be told 1-2 weeks. After several cycles of this I was told that Redstone Residential, who owns the Factory hadn’t returned many student’s deposits and are refusing/unresponsive regarding the issuing of security deposit refunds. I attempted to call Redstone (which went to voicemail) and to message them, but have received no response. The company’s lofty mission statement does not appear to reflect how they actually do business. Maybe they think that because it isn’t very much money involved that they can just keep it with no real consequences.
