The three book binding options pertain to different audiences. Board book binding is typically produced for a younger audience ranging from ages newborn to 5 years of age. These are produced with thicker pages which will not tear as printing with standard papers. Hardcover and paper back binding papers that are handle with less exertion. The difference between these types of printing is the binding process. Terminology for the 3 different book printing is actually binding styles. Board book binding is produced on thick paper glued back-to-back. Hard cover binding the printed paper is glued to boarding. Example board weights 98pt & 120 pt. Paper back binding is printing on an actual cover stock. The hardcover and paperback book printing blocks are glued into the spine. Board book binding is also glued together.
