Nothing special about avenel, it's a stop-gap between Woodbridge proper, Rahway, and Carteret mainly residential. Also I happen to live here

A quaint, small stop that is now part of Station Village-- a new development with homes & stores. Avenel Train Station is painted with seascape & farmland murals on both sides of street, respectively.

A great train station stop. Hopefully NJ Transit can add more trains to this stop.

Questions & Answers

Why doesn’t the Avenel train show up when planning a trip into the city? Google suggests driving to another stop when this train is available.

No sorry the train does not stop in Avenel on the weekends. You will need to use the Woodbridge train station
