Don't waste your money on this tourist trap. It is completely cheesy, and many of the "facts" presented here are totally inaccurate. They call it a guided tour but all that means is someone unseen reading a script from some book. The combo ticket includes the haunted house, but they closed that at 4pm. What the heck kind of haunted house closes at 4pm?? There should have been a discount on the combo ticket if you can't do all of the attractions.

We bought the bundle tickets so you can enter multiple museums/attractions. Decent sized place and lots of people all dressed up.

Walked downtown during my fall vacation to Massachusetts. Many sights to see and small shops to explore. Food and souvenirs are higher priced, but again this is a tourists area so that is to be expected. Purchase tickets in advance as wait times can be long and often sold out for museums and events. You can check out local museums, explore the Salem witch memorial, take a walk through the grave yard, stop by a Harry Potter store, receive a tarot or palm reading, walk though haunted houses or just window shop with your coffee and take in the sighs of the colonial influenced architecture, and stop by the beautiful Ropes Mansion. Have a Beautiful trip. Happy travels -A

Awesome, great place!! My family had a wonderful time here, everything was so cool. The town is amazing...im seriously going there again at least once every year. I cant believe nobody i know is talking about Salem...the sheer size of the area, with new and unique sights and stores is unreal.

Not when we went. However, its their busy month now.
Actually you have to pay in advance, tickets go on sale at midnight the night before. And no dogs allowed
There is a cemetery there with a tombstone. I believe it's the actual place he was pressed to death. He was definitely a stubborn old man! From what they know of him, he was quite abusive to his wife and children and said his wife may be a witch when she was accused, instead of sticking up for her. But legend also says that every time the sheriff told him to make a plea (they weren't allowed to take land without a plea in either direction and he had a lot of land) he would just say "More weight." It took about 3 days for him to die. Ask any tour place where the cemetery is and they can give you perfect directions from where you are.
The village is free but some exhibits and tours cost money.
It varies per attraction. Being Halloween safe to say they are open a little on the late side
