Comfortable and secure. Wooded area. Right off main road for quick overnight stay... River view accross street. Large mini fridge in room. Easy to find. Clean. Bright. Plus restaurant accross street + family dollar + Stewart's close. Just down the road a bit. Beautiful area. Country environment 5 minutes to Ausable chasm. Good place to stop for an overnight when traveling..no frills. Yes air-conditioned.update June 23 2022. Very convenient. , Shopping, restaurants ,Stewart's, nearby. Right off two main roads. Wish I could have seen it in it's earltbdays

Avoid at all costs. My boyfriend and I do a lot of traveling on the road for fun so it’s normal for me to find us last minute rooms. This motel called me back twice after they missed my call around 9pm. I informed the man that we were 2 hours away and he said that it would be fine, “see you when you get here.” So we drive two hours out of our way to get to the room we were just told was available, when I could have found a different motel in this time, to show up to an empty office. I called multiple times and no one answered nor bothered to call back that time. I pounded on the door to no avail, despite the barking dog. I haven’t heard from him since. It’s like he purposefully said “sure, drive 2 hours around the lake” and then disappeared for the fun of it. We had to sleep in our car because of this man. This is completely unacceptable business practices. Why even bother calling back the first time? Why say it would be okay if we showed up at 11pm? Just avoid him and this motel at ALL costs if you can manage it. Sleep in your car like we did.

We were 14 hours riding a motorcycle and needed a stop. Walked in to the set of the movie vacancy to check in. Dropped our stuff in the room and went to get snacks across the road. The lady at the store told us if we stayed there we would be robbed if not worse. When we headed back across the road, there was a guy that pulled right up beside our motorcycle and starred us down. we ended up.leaving and stayed at the super 8.

I am making this review for sentiments and nostalgia sake. When I was a child we made it a point to stay at this motel, particularly we would rent trailer number 46. I had the pleasure of meeting Clarence and Marion way back in 1980, we stayed there two weeks every summer until 1992 after my grandmother passed. We were always made to feel welcome, and always love to be there, quiet and out of the way, it was an amazing find. I wish I had the opportunity to stay there again, but at the moment that is not feasible.
