Great, friendly staff! Well-stocked store. River is beautiful for floating or fishing. Activities for kids for Easter. Playground, pond. Water and electric only, but onsite dump station and dump services available. Good wifi. Sites are not paved, not a problem in dry weather but could be slippery when wet. Good family place!

Took my kids by to do some of the activities today. Place didn't open until 10am. I text the number on the door that we would go play and pay on the back side since they weren't open yet. When we started, maintenence guy flagged us down and said we couldn't. I told him that there was no one there to take our money and that we were more than happy to pay when we were done. He still said no and we had to wait 30 minutes for literally no reason. Do what you will with your own business but in my opinion, that is terrible business and one star service. In response management: Yes, totally understand that. That is why we explained to him what we were doing there and that we were happy to stop by the store after our round. I respect that you run a business but the reason he stopped is was to make sure we paid... not to make sure we weren't trespassing or disturbing guests. Again, I respect that but opening at 10am isn't really accommodating if you are that strict. All the best.

Sad, Sad, Sad that tent camping is no longer allowed in this once family owned, fun, place turns away anyone who tent camps. Growing up in the 1960’s, our family and friends were among the first to be here for the beginning of the summer. My daddy and his friends spent hours every day rebuilding the rock wall from each side of the river bank towards the middle to keep the kids safe. It gave them a safe place to play and not have to worry about being swept away in the current. We would go over to Garner State park at night for dancing and fun. Tents were pretty much the only thing there all those years. It’s what CAMPING is all about… not GLAMPING. It WAS the best place on the river and stayed that way for over 50 years. Mr. Bunk was the owner from the 1960’s, maybe before that, then the Yeargens bought it and after many years of not being able to go, we went back and spent 11 days in August in our tent right down on the river. They were super friendly and eager to please you and want your camping experience to be fun and memorable. I was so happy to see that after having been away for a number of years. Now, I see that it was sold to the new owners in 2018 and the banned all tent campers which was a really bad choice. I have read reviews and have heard by mouth from other friends who have gone there that the new owners are not friendly and polite like the Yeargens and the Richies were. Such a shame.

The cabins offer WiFi. When I arrived, I was able to make calls and send text messages. But the next day I couldn't do so. I had to make calls through the Facebook Messenger and send messages the same way. I did get 5G service when I was in town which was 3min away. My provider is T-mobile.

Do they allow day guest to visit other guest staying there? If so how much is it and what times? Do they also have to pay for parking?

They allow guests. They do have to pay for a day pass for river access unless you are not over your occupancy limit...then they just need wristbands.
