Did not meet my expectations of what I thought the main library of Reading would look like. From the outside this looks like a monumental building, a library that you see in the movies. You would think the inside would reflect that with large wooden bookshelves, tables, a grand library. Wrong, tables are like the folding ones for picnics, bookshelves are metal, library is quite small inside. But full of bums, most people here were doing the crossword on the newspaper.

This is an excellent library, with a huge catalogue of books, CDs, and DVDs. The library also has several computer areas for adults, teens, and younger children. The kids section is large, clean, and cheerful. They have lots of different reading, crafting, and learning programs, as well as some toys like a play grocery store, plastic animals, and building toys. The staff are all pleasant and helpful. There is a small parking lot in back, as well as metered on-street parking.

Yes
Yes its right in the back of the library. You can access it from either way you drive up.
Prints are .10 for Black and White, and .25 for color.. per page.
Yeah if you need to use a card, see the Service Desk
No 3D printing available sorry .
You do not need a library card if you want to read a book in the building, or to use a computer, or do genealogy work in the PA room.
There is an elevator to the left of the big staircase. It's kind of hidden. Press 1 for the first floor and M for youth services. There are 2 ADA parking spots behind the library on Wood St. Bathrooms are accessible. Don't be afraid to ask staff to help you find things or to make accommodations for you!
