I have always had great experiences with finding what I need through the Sioux City Public Library and the staff are always so kind and helpful. I went in the other day to print a packing slip and the printer wouldn't work and one of the women at the help desk didn't make me feel incompetent and phoned IT for me so that I could get it printed before the post office closed. I can never go in there without finding a new treasure and they are constantly getting recently published books in stock so that I don't have to go out and buy it at a store. I love their online format for listening to audio books. They have a forever customer as long as I am in Sioux City! Also, it is always so clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Hi Abi and thanks for reaching out! We do not buy used books. We do accept donations of used books in good condition, but are unable to offer any monetary compensation for them.
In order to get a full-access card (that you can use to check out items) you would need to pay for a library card, since you live in South Sioux City, Nebraska. Our library is funded by Sioux City, Iowa property taxes so our cards are free to residents of Sioux City, Iowa. However, you would be able to get a free library card from the South Sioux City Library, since that is the city in which you live.
