My post is not about the Post Office itself but rather about an outstanding postman that i had this week who was filling in for our regular postal person on vacation. Saturday i received a notice at my door that i had missed a ‘signature required’ package, so i went online to reschedule the package, signed the notice and put back in my mailbox. I was expecting it on Monday as my chosen day, however Monday and Tuesday came and went and no package. It was a very special package coming from Germany from a friend who sews tiny teddy bears as an artist, and very expensive. Wednesday, i waited at the mailbox and when Jacob who was the gentleman subbing this week for our carrier showed up with my mail but no package, i told him my dilemma and he said that he would go back to the office tonight and look for the package, and let me know tomorrow (Thursday) what he found out. Today he came up the driveway and had my little package! I was just thrilled to pieces, and wanted to shout a great big “KUDOS” to Jacob for going above and beyond the regular service that is expected for his position. In today’s world i am finding that such excellent customer service is sometimes hard to come by, and just wanted to let him and his superiors know that he is a gem and really cares about his customers. Thanks a bunch to you Jacob, you be safe out there. Have a great evening 🙏🏻🌟🙋🏼♀️
