Very nice ,friendly, helpful employees. Clean and well kept. Animals all looked healthy and happy as far as being in a shelter. I highly recommend checking this place out.

I surrendered my dog because I was told they would find her a family, even though she needed to be an only dog with a lot of activity. 24 days later they call saying they are going to put her down. We quickly found a wonderful family to take her and when I called to tell them, the director said he would not allow her to be adopted and what horrible dog she was???? I then went in to reclaim her, saving her life, and they charged me $280+ to save her???? Adoption Center - NO A KILL CENTER!! Now the dog is with a beautiful family being spoiled rotten on acres of land and living a beautiful life. Please don’t take your pets here. Ever!

Terrible. I was going to sugar coat it, but why? Everyone was mean. Not only to me but also my children I brought in. Who happen to be a HUGE part of the process of adding a new family member. I had three dogs. Out 14 year old mastiff passed away. When I filled out the application, I was asked about her. Not once but three times. Three times I had to repeat my pet passed away, in front of my kids. A little grotesque for a day we were thinking of adopting. Then we looked at a kitten. The rooms are the size of a bathroom, and he went into the room with us, and STAYED. Scowling at my two children and myself. The kids tried to play with the kitten, and he got in them! We left. We did not, and will not adopt from this place. It's terrible because I love the idea of adoption, but the people and environment are definitely standing in the way of them getting a home. Horrible experience, and we left upset.

You can use google to get the hours, but they are open every day except Sundays they are closed.
They have puppies often. I got my 4 month old pitbull from there! Hope this helps.
Are adoptable dogs are on petharbor and Petfinder and our links to those on the Saint Charles County website.
We should all get together and take them. Makes me
You'd be surprised what socializing can do for cats. I am one of the volunteers who socializes the cats for the shelter. usually once they go back after I'm finished with them they're just like any other cat that's been loved. The feral ones definitely make good barn cats though. Oh, and to answer you question, Angie, yes they do take feral cats.
I used their cages and put down a deposit. I used Sterile Feral program to have 3 cats spayed or neutered.
They are, yes.
They only euthanize if the animal is aggressive or is in care too long. I go in almost weekly and they have had some dogs on the floor waiting for their forever homes for months. They will check the dog for microchipping and contact the owner, if they find records on the dog. They will take great care of it.
They usually are. Your best bet is to bring them in and see. They open at 10 every day except Sunday, I believe.
You are welcome to contact our low cost hotline at 636-949-7387 extension 6200. We only do it two or three times a month and appointments fill up fast. You must be a resident of st charles county. You can also check with the humane society of Missouri or Carol House Quick Fix. They do not have residency or income restrictions. Hope this helps!
4850 Mid River Mall Dr is where you would go. They handle rabies tags for the entire county.
Please contact the surrender hotline at 636-949-7387 ext. 7467. It will prompt to leave a message. The kennel supervisor will call you back tomorrow.
Yes we are accepting kittens.
I bet it will be. They gave me toys for a new adoption and if they had a large crate, I am sure they would have provided that as well. Crates are pricey so that would be a great gift for someone who has a newly adopted dog.
