Dr DeChamplain and his staff are the best . I was able to read without glasses immediately following surgery. Patients are made to feel like their eyesight is a top priority. Well worth the time to drive to Georgetown from Florence about 1 1/2 hrs. to get the best eyecare anywhere.

I went into this cataract surgery with the understanding I would need reading g glasses I was wearing trifocals, are this surgery I now need bifocals. I keep getting bills,. The one I just paid will be the last one I will pay. I was charged $275 per eye because they have set up the office in Georgetown is under a 3rd part name . This way insurance will not cover the Georgetown office. So you have to pay. I have been told recently by an employee of theirs the normal charge is $130. I will never send anyone there. It was 6 weeks between each eye. They blame it onthe dr. He went on medical leave but had between 2 to 3 weeks to do my second eye but just blew me off. Beware of this company. They were the best 8 years ago,but now close to rock bottom. As I was just telling the woman on the phone she said sorry an just hung up on me. She could have cared less.
