I would call ahead, I don't see it being a huge issue. The party just has extra perks.
Sorry, there is no Ball Pit at this location. As for party reservations, yes, if you are taking advantage of the Birthday extras. However, they have a huge general seating area so if you're providing your own cake and not buying into their birthday packages, you might want to call ahead to see what time is likely to be more crowded.
