Yes, I have stayed in nicer, more luxurious hotels that one might think deserve five stars. The French Quarter Inn, though, gets highest marks for character and experience. It's quaint, located along the scenic banks of the Ohio River, and in a lovely, well-preserved part of town lined with brick buildings. The hotel is owned managed by a traditional operator, so you're still getting the kind of service you used to expect. The room is clean and comfortable, and has a huge, jetted soaking tub that was so welcome after a long drive. Front desk staff are friendly and personable. This hotel is well worth going out of your way to stay in.

Very nice experience. It was so nice. Had view of Ohio River and the bridge. Could walk to restaurants. I live in NC. We liked it so much, we booked again for Easter weekend.

Great view of the river and cute rooms. I wish the bar in the lobby had been open for afternoon cocktails but this is a great place.

Amazing hospitality very friendly staff. Old hotel but all in pristine condition. Takes you back in time to when it was built. It’s truly a magical place. Just wish the old bar inside was open but no complaints and love the rubber ducks on the tubs!!!

Most hotels/motels are smoke free. I've only seen people smoking outside.
