ALL THEY DO IS LIE! I have submitted my application in August of 2021 and the apartment I was living in has still not been paid and it has now hit my credit. So many people have left and none of the original people who were handling my case are still there. Now they are telling me they won’t pay my balance because I’m not currently living there even though a representative was at my eviction court hearing telling the judge that this program was covering the remaining balance. ALL I CAN SAY IS THIS IS A SCAM

Long wait times If you don’t get there by 8 AM

Obviously they need to train the woman that answers the phone a little better on what we need to bring in or what is required before we spend money on a bus to get there and back. Also the woman that interviewed me is an African-American that is racist against white people, she said to me as I sat down “all Caucasians look alike“. It’s a sad day in public assistance even for a veteran like myself.

They will pay up to a certain amount depending on your household size, income and situation. It's definitely worth the try. They're also doing something called the hope program right now.
The Summer Cooling program is accepting applications for air conditioners. The requirements are: current proof of household income, a letter from a medical physician stating that the person needing the air conditioner has a medical condition that requires a cool living environment, Social Security card and a I.D. or Driver's License. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Our agency will not be able to assist. Check with Metro Social Services

Hi Kim! Unfortunately, no you can't apply for energy bill assistance online. It has to be done in-person at their office Monday - Thursday, BEFORE 3pm (since the staff who help you with your application for that leave at 3pm, even tho the office is open until 430pm, and those same people are NOT available on Fridays either). Make sure you call your energy provider (in my case it was NES) beforehand and ask them to email you a copy of your 12month residential usage/manual bill! You'll need this for your application for assistance and the only way you can get it is by calling & asking for it.
They have this program called The Hope and they do it's inside Metro action
Did anyone respond back to her, or did she do a follow up. All information that was asked for did she give in the allotted time frame.
That isn't true, go and do the application..and it sounds as if they have had a lost..by staying within a long stay hotel..They even help with housing etc..So tell them don't give up..they will help..if no help ask for Willie Brown of Metro Social Services..that might even go well.. Good Luck..
The landlord can file an eviction in the courts. However, there is currently a moratorium until March 31st. The tenant should contact Judge Bells Legacy Court for assistance.
Pick up a application at the office downtown you might be able to apply online as well. But you need your light bill any income verification but if you dont have income you have to fill out a 0 income form at the office. Make sure you have your ID ssc for you and everyone in the household and just turn it in they will pay up to 500.00

If it doesn't come up go to www.nashville.gov and search for Metro Action Commission you can see everything that you can get assistance with.
It depends on what your household income is. They may be able to assist with somethings but should be able to give you some other resources as well.
We do through our Homeless program. You must be referred to our agency by a caseworker or agency that can verify that you are in fact homeless. Call Metro Action for further qualifications.
I go there for my G.E.D. and they help with a lot of things but I'm not to sure that's one of them but it wouldn't hurt to go there and ask it the Howard Gentry building next to the food stamp office and DCS
