This review is for the building and the process. You have plenty of parking in the garage across the street and one block down, very easy access. There are no bags of any kind allowed, so leave your stuff in the car or don’t bring it. You’ll have to remove belt and watch and all to come in. The space is really nice and clearly brand new. There were plenty of places to sit. The courts are broken up by last name alphabetically. The clerks office can tell you where to go. The process was efficient and professional. I think they forget that this is routine for them, but important and consequential for the people coming through. You should try to bring someone for support if you’re there for a hearing so it’s less alienating.

Called trying to find out if relative case was on docket for following Monday as I would be travelling some distance and wanted to be there on correct date and time. Lady who initially answered could not find information since I did not have case number. She transferred my call to another lady who quickly found the case by name and birth date on the Monday docket. She even told me which courtroom the hearing would be held. Very helpful.

The former employees of the Rutherford County Judicial system should be ashamed of their coercive and fraudulent activities of the past year. Gaslighting and pretending to be court officers is never appropriate for any justice system much less one of the great county of Rutherford which upholds integrity and care of its citizens. Apologies should be given to anyone who had to endure inappropriate behavior from city officials over this past year. And I hope this is no longer indicative of the type of behavior we will see in the future. We are better than abuse of power and usury. We also exercise care when adminstering justice. We cam afford it. We have a very safe and secure city compared to most. Goodbye to rubbish.
