Really great to camp at. The roads our GPS took us on we’re crazy rocky but you don’t need really high clearance to do it. FREE but you have to fill out a permit online and then email it. We did this right when we got to the campground and had no issues.

Permit required for camping. Very simple to apply. Full out the permit and email. Be aware you have to drive down a long bumpy gravel road for awhile to get to the camp site.

Wow! Amazing site! How fortunate to be here. See the view from our bedroom window! Should be an amazing sunrise! One caution… I got in with a 25 foot Leisure Travel Van, Unity. There are two soft spots on the dirt road that are pretty dicey. Maybe not my smartest move… we’ll see if we get out tomorrow morning. If it rains, we will be here a while.

For a first come first serve free campsite this was fabulous, you have to be on unpaved roads. We got in at ten pm on Friday and still found a spot. There is no running water just portable toilet style toilets. It’s close enough to the city that you can run and get supplies easily
