Road is in great condition (way better than winter/spring), but make sure you have the clearance. Taller subbies can make it no problem, just be careful and expect lots of tourists/activity. Still worth the visit on a nice clear day though.

Sacagawea Peak is a good steady climb. The top is naturally the steepest and most difficult, but very doable for most people. We went on a drizzling rainy day, which of course turned into hail and snow at the ridge line. But once we got past the saddle the wind died down and we warmed up considerably. Once we summited the sun broke out and made it worth it.

Gorgeous lake in the Bridger Mountains. The road was rough from loggers working there all summer. Wild flowers were abundant earlier this summer.

Rough road not suitable for bus size RVs unless you happen to want a unique experience. For my friend and me it was a fine launch point for our climb to the summit of Sacajawea. Get there early for parking. Forest Service toilets were handy. It’s a pretty little area with picnic tables and fire pits.

During the summer, it is an easy, flat trail to walk around the lake. It may take 45 minutes at the most. At this point, I'm not even sure whether Fairy Lake is accessible.
