This place was awful. My husband came in with serious back pain from an ongoing degenerative disc. We just moved here from northeast Ohio and haven’t had a chance to establish a doctor here yet. A doctor here took him back to the triage room due to no beds being open. Checked him over, went over treatment, and said he would be back. Next a nurse comes in and asked my husband why he was in there in a very annoyed manner. Told him “it’s just back pain, you can wait in the lobby.” What a horrible thing to say! He wouldn’t be here if he wasn’t in serious pain. It’s not something to take lightly at all. He can’t sit, he can’t stand, everything he does he’s in pain! To be treated like his issue isn’t a big deal is horrible. I completely understand seeing patients in order of severity, but don’t treat people like they are a burden to your day. I hope that nurse has the day she deserves.

I have never seen an ER staff that treats people as horrible as this one. Nursing staff that will blatantly lie and a patient “advocate” who’s only interest is covering up for the hospital’s poor behavior. Please don’t take your loved ones to this facility.

No. Memorial is an independent hospital operated through the Union County Commissioners. Memorial does currently have partnerships with Ohio State in Cancer Care and Cardiology. The hospitalist group, MedOne, has providers that work at Memorial, Ohio Health and Select Specialty hospitals.
As far as I know they work on just about everything at memorial.
