My go to shooting range.

Pretty frustrating to pay for a range pass for ranges that aren't open enough to be worthwhile.

Best range in Ohio, hands down .. no need to read reviews make the drive!

Clean. Safe. Affordable. Good place to shoot. I go once a month.

You got that right.
Just called. Told it will be ".. another month or two." 11/26/19
From what I gather it is still not open. If you call the number the voicemail says that due to inadequacies in the backstops they are redoing them. I've also been told the weather caused delays and that parts of the renovations were built too close the roads and had to be redone. At this point I have no clue what the true status is.
For starters they are the range workers who are doing that. They have always cleared they're equipment out when the range starts getting full. I go there to shoot 2-3 times a week and have never had to wait on account of them. They do leave their gear set up through the week when its them me and two other people but its never bothered me. Sometimes u have to wait when you use a public range that costs $5 for the whole day. Lol do the older fellas sitting at diners drinking coffee every morning bother you for taking up space too? JK but seriously they always clear out when it gets full
(I think)15yrd _ pistols only 25yrd 50yrd 100yrd Plus shotgun range and archery range/ course No steel targets but they can provide paper targets and cardboard backing to keep it secured All in all its a 10/10 place and the range masters are knowledgeable and very helpful
$5 per day or $24 for an annual pass. I cannot recommend Spring Valley any higher. This is a legitimate bargain in relation to other area shooting ranges. The passes can be purchased at the Xenia Wal-Mart.
I'll suggest to give them a call.
They do have target holders for the rifle and pistol ranges. The rifle range has wooden stands.
Never was free still need a pass
Best range within 100 miles, but check for opendate as renovations ongoing ...don't know about archery 4d section.
Closing for renovations in September, 2018
I have not been there
Last time I was there it was.... About a month ago
I totally forgot to bring my own targets when I went, so everything in the picture was already there lol. I would bring paper targets and tape or tacks to put on the backstop. I also just realized that I'm thinking only about the archery range... I haven't been to the new setup for guns yet. I hope that helps 🙂
Where is the shotgun range
Just reopened today finally! 10/29/2020
The Range is still closed we hope to be open by fall
Archery range is closed
Delaware, Spring Valley, and Tranquility have all been out of service for some time. Amazed a lawsuit wasn't filed at some point to force ODNR to at least reopen one range before starting work on the next.
I call but get the same old message. The backstops appear to be the same as before. They were ok then, what has changed. Who is the project manager. Have been there several times and haven't observed any activity.
They are closed for renovations.
That answer is wrong you still need a pass to use the range
That's right
It is usually open year round, except when there is inclement weather. Right now though, it is closed for renovations.
Yes and your own thrower I believe
Yes. Black powder is allowed
I don't think there's a limit on how many people you can bring. Just remember to go to Walmart and buy the range pass first
Closed as of Oct 1. Expected to reopen in summer of 2019.
No. Go to a Wal-Mart or Valley Ammo in Spring Valley and pay $5 for a one-day permit or $25 for a full-year permit to be able to shoot at the range. It's basically just a ticket to shoot at that range only.
You have an option to pay $5 for a full day or $20, I believe, for the whole year
All shooters 18 years of age and older need a permit. Shooters under 18 can shoot for free but must be accompanied by an adult with a permit.
For paterning shotguns you will need to use the pistol range of 25 yards to set up a paper target. There are no paper stands at the shotgun range.
Yes but you will follow the same safety rules as firearms.
