Coming out to vote was a pleasant experience. Very nice people in line and nice volunteers...except there was this one volunteer who kept pulling minorities out of the voting line saying "We don't want you to be in the wrong line" but the fact was, there was ever only one line. It seemed a bit like voter suppression. My husband and I who are white, noticed it happened to a few black families. We were disheartened. When I asked the volunteer about the other line she seemed frazzled. As a school teacher who teaches middle schoolers about voting and the right to vote, it made me upset.
