Here Saturday, 11:50 AM. They're not open. Saturday hours on door show 10a-2p, but door locked, and no one inside :(

Although I'm posting a review under my business account, I have to give five stars to Tony and his team at Eyeglass Wearhouse. I actually drove 2 hours from Akron based on a recommendation and the online reviews. I was not disappointed. The selection of frames was very up-to-date, and Tony knew the type of variable-gradient lenses on my current glasses. He matched me up with a similar-but-better type of lens, and after wearing the new glasses now for 3 weeks, I see better than ever! Oh, the pricing is very fair, and actually better than my last pair. Wherever you are, Eyeglass Wearhouse is worth the drive!

Questions & Answers

I already have my prescription. Is this acceptable? Do you do multi-focal lens? Do you take walk in or do you need an appointment? Thanks

Hi Carrie, thanks for your question. You're absolutely free to bring in your prescription anytime during our regular business hours, no appointment necessary. We offer all lens types including bifocals and progressive multifocal lenses.

I like the frames I have now. Can you put new lenses in my existing frames?

Frank Latella | Oct 24, 2018
Eyeglass Wearhouse | Oct 24, 2018

Hi Frank, thanks for the question. We can absolutely help with that. As long as your frame is in good shape, 99% of the time we can put new lenses in if for you. Furthermore, depending on the type of frame you’re using, you may be able to continue wearing them until your new lenses arrive. Once we receive the lenses we’ll call and schedule a time for you to bring your frames in to have the lenses edged into the frame while you wait. I hope this answer was helpful, please feel free to give us a call with any further questions or stop in anytime, no appointment necessary.

I don't have an insurance. Do you provide eye exam as well? If so, how much does it cost?

Angitha Menon | Oct 24, 2019
Eyeglass Wearhouse | Oct 24, 2019

Thank you for the question Angitha. Our optometrists offer complete eye exams for $65 and if you need a contact lens fitting, those start at $40 additional depending on the type of contacts they’ll be fitting you for (i.e. spherical lenses, toric lenses or multifocal lenses). Please feel free to schedule online at your convenience here: https://eyeglasswearhouse.simplybook.me/v2/

I need frames for my existing lenses

Joe Smith | Oct 24, 2018
Eyeglass Wearhouse | Oct 24, 2018

Thanks for the question, Joe. Often times we can accommodate that. It really depends on if we have a frame that we can shape to your lenses. Most of the time we’re able to find you a frame; in the event we cannot find a suitable replacement, we’ll work to help you get your original frames repaired or find a proper replacement elsewhere.
