It's a nice place. On a lake with a large pavilion with tables. Water and electric with a dump station available. A good playground for the kids. My only problem is for people with RVs. There are only four spots available and it seems like two are always taken by locals who park their trailers during the week and leave until the weekend. I managed to get in just before the last spot was taken and at the time there were two RVs that for the three days I've spent in the park I never saw people come in or out and there were no other vehicles with those trailers. While other people who came looking for a site had to leave because they were no other spots available. This has been the case the last three times I visited this park.

There has NEVER been FREE CAMPING at this lake. There was an HONOR SYSTEM. You were Meant to put the MONEY in the drop box. IT WAS a nominal amount. It was Never Free. Locals have always PAID to camp and its a nice lake. With nice facilities. One idiot on 1 40 didnt know the system and posted Free on Youtube and caused a problem in the area in so doing. Smarten up.

We stopped by late in the evening while traveling down I 40. The are 5 RV spots that have electric 50 amp hook up. The is no water hook up. There is a dump station close by in the park. Down from the RV spots is a boat ramp and a play ground. Signs posted states that RV camping is 15$ a night and is paid via a drop box. We had some car campers in the parking lots near by. Great little lay over spot to get some rest or wait for your reservation elsewhere. The lake had trash along the shore and in the bushes. That’s the only reason for 4 out of 5. We were in a 43+ft RV and fit with the truck unhooked. I posted several pictures taken while we were there.

Great little park. Electric hookups, hot showers, dumpsters, dump station. Used to be free, but now 15 bucks. I still think it is very reasonable. Constant wind off the 'lake', so prepare for that. Very quiet otherwise.

Ugh OK have neighbors with kids running threw everyone's campsites and all over the park screaming throwing balls near people's cars, rv's & boats. In & out of the boys bathroom. A gentleman just came out shaking his head. Said some people just don't appreciate what we have here and walked away shaking his head.
