Have been dining here regularly for a few years now, I’m not sure if there’s been a change in management/ownership but the quality has gone down this past year. The service isn’t as great and the sushi just isn’t what it used to be. They also no longer bring you clear soup when you sit down, and the past couple times I’ve made a point to order it and they would forget to bring it out. The staff is not very helpful when there’s a problem with your order and the past few experiences I’ve had there have just put a bad taste in my mouth. Will be finding a new go-to sushi spot.

When i first moved in this area this place was good . Now they just went down hill. They treat their workers terrible ! Yell at them and disrespects them ! Makes young girls who just want a job cry because they made a mistake . So many employees here have quit within a week of working here because Lily is just such a terrible person . She talks to customers rude and her most valuable assets employees, are degraded with any mistake they make . A restaurant cannot run without employees . You have to know how to treat them and value them. You may can replace an employee but if those new employees get disrespected and yelled at they will quit too . Lily takes tips from her employees . The servers do not even get paid they full amount of tips , they split HALF of their tips with the sushi chefs . Yes I have heard of split pay but the chefs get salary and the servers tips and the servers doing all of this work . Sushi chefs get half and the bus boys only get 10% . And any mistakes the servers or cashiers make they have to pay for each mistake . But if her or the kitchen or sushi chefs makes a mistake it’s okay and they don’t have to pay for it . WOW. Some people enjoy their food here but sometimes the way you treat others is far more important .

We visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were promptly seated and treated very politely by the wait staff. The facility was clean and orderly, the atmosphere was very enjoyable. We ordered the following dishes. Miso soup -Traditional and very tasty Yakisoba w/ beef -Having spent time in Japan I thought it was very authentic tasting consisting of buckwheat noodles with very tender thinly sliced beef and a variety of vegetables. Spicy tuna roll -8 pieces, very fresh tasting, beautifully prepared and came with the traditional wasabi and ginger. Tempura Vegetable w/chicken -Excellent tempura, beautifully prepared and wonderfully tasting Cloud 9 dessert -A fluffy cake topped with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and caramel. The presentation of this dish was beautiful and was a delicious wonderful treat after our meal. We were very satisfied with the meals and service and will definitely eat here again.

Not sure why that happened. Sorry for your experience. I go early.
I have also eaten at Taste of Tokyo on a regular basis and never ever had food poisoning from the place. 🙄
