I'm a huge fan of lynx style golf and this course feeds into that love. With wide open fairways, huge greens, and plenty of sand, this is a rock solid golf course. If this course is within an hour of the twin cities you are looking at a $75 green fee. Instead I can play a quality course for half the price! The clubhouse looks sweet and the 17th and 18th holes are excellent finishing holes that are pleasing to the eye. My only suggestion would be improvement of the sand traps. They were in adequate shape

Its very sad to see how this great layout has been neglected by the owners. We have played this course multiple times over the last two decades and it used to be a gem. On last Sunday, the greens had not been mowed and dew was still on the greens and putting green. No doubt the pins had not been moved or greens mowed since Friday. Several fairways were so bad we had to play winter rules, something we never done in the summer. Many sand traps had weeds and they had not been raked since a storm went through on Friday evening. Traps had ruts from the rain run off and some lower areas had mud. We had sand bottles in our cart to fill in divots in the fairways, but sadly, they needed to be filled with sand to be effective. The tees boxes had not been mowed in several days and were "furry." The par 3 tee boxes had no sand boxes and the tee areas (probably not changed since Friday) looked like North Vietnam, 1970. The natural grasses that defined this course for decades have been cut back that no doubt speeds up play, but dramatically changes the natural look of the course. The price was right and the staff was friendly, but my guess is that the course is under new management that is not committed to keeping the course in the condition that will make golfers want to play it. As a former business owner, no doubt they are trying to balance costs vs revenue. But keeping weeds out of sand traps or making sure you have sand in bottles on the cart or on the par 3's, is not expensive, you just have to care about how your golf course looks. They either need an infusion of cash to bring it back to the condition it was a decade ago or I am afraid it will continue to decline. I for one will play other courses next time I am in the area until I hear changes have been made. .

How have I never played here before?!? The $25 deal is unbelievable. This would be a $100 plus round if you plopped it down anywhere near the Twin Cities metro. The drive from MPLS was easy and well worth the time. The staff was very accommodating and my only mistake was having made a second tee time in the afternoon at another golf course. I won’t make that mistake again. Absolutely worth the drive and I’ll be back soon!
