Although we did not spend the night there is a review about the experiences. March 2, we booked 2 nights and paid $ 220.50 for this. As everyone knows, soon after the COVID-19 virus broke out and at some point it was clear that travel from Europe to the US and vice versa would be banned for tourists by the authorities in the near future. This forced us to cancel our entire trip. We have received our payments from every hotel, airline, B&B except for St. Charles Guesthouse (Dennis the owner). We can imagine that there is a small amount of costs involved, but to withhold the entire amount we think too much of a good thing. As a compensation we received a voucher for next year, which in itself can be a solution for USA residents. This is of course a different story for people from another continent. Once again we understand everyone in this difficult and confusing COVID-19 time, but we think Dennis' solution is too one-sided and unfortunate.

St. Charles has a beautiful New Orleans patina! We enjoyed a generously sized bedroom with queen bed and bathroom. The breakfast muffins, breads and coffee/tea/cocoa were an added benefit! I spent my mornings sipping coffee and dangling my feet in the pool. My afternoons, waiting for my daughter to wake up from a nap, I lounged and read one of the many books on the premises. Dennis, the owner, is a master southern conversationalist and I picked his brain on a great many things. I look forward to coming back!
