This place was amazing, and not too expensive. I've never had Senegalese food before, but the flavors were phenomenal. Even the veggie sides were packed with flavor. The side cabbage ended up being one of my favorites. I got the chicken curry and my wife got the house tiebou dejun and the were both amazing. Will definitely come back.

I’ve never had Senegalese food, but I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here today! I had the Maffe which is lamb cooked in a peanut butter sauce with potatoes and carrots. I really loved the flavor of the sauce and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. The side of rice was a nice addition, and the Gingembe drink washed it down perfectly with a bit of spiciness! The owner is a great guy, and the employees were very friendly and courteous. Excellent service overall!

I woke up craving African cuisine. This was the only African restaurant on the south side of Chicago with an excellent rating and it did not disappoint. I typically go up North for African cuisine but never again. I’ll be back soon for more Red Snapper, peanut soup and mint tea. Top 5!

Very satisfied with the food and the experience. The waiter was very polite. For my appetizers I had the fataya which is battered salmon patties. It comes with a spicy dipping sauce. I like spicy food but if you’re not into spicy food the dip will be too hot for you. I enjoyed the fataya. For my dinner I had the Yassa Fish (tilapia) with a side of djolof rice. Everything was good. I’m so sad though because I had my djolof rice in a to-go box and forgot it at my table. 😢 Definitely recommended coming here.
