This is the greatest department on the globe. They had to be since they don’t have any police complaints. In reality, merely to get a FOIL request handled, one has to take the city to court. They’ll even attempt to bribe you $750 not to make the requests. If that doesn’t work, they will threaten your lawyer. Please avoid this city at all costs.

Yes you can get a certified copy of your birth certificate at the Clerk's office. If you call ahead at 716.366.0452 they can have it ready for you when you get there. They can also tell you the fee for it too.
