Dr. Kaplan is by far the best knee surgeon in CT and the staff at Active Ortho are fabulous! He has performed 3 different knee surgeries on me over the course of the past 5 years due to sports related injuries, including an ACL replacement, a menisectomy, and most recently a partial knee replacement. I just celebrated my one year post operative anniversary for my partial knee replacement surgery and I am walking, biking, hiking, and swimming again and without pain at all and almost full range of motion. The recovery time from the PKR was so much quicker than having the TKR and I am so grateful that Dr. Kaplan recommended doing the partial knee rather than the full knee. Also importantly, he has wonderful bedside manner and took the time with me to explain each of my procedures and outcomes and answered all of the questions. He wasn’t watching the clock like some other doctors do. If anyone is looking for a knee surgeon, he is your guy!

Dr. Kaplan replaced both my knees and I can walk with no pain. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. All questions were answered so I understood what they were saying.
